Wow! It snowed a little, sleeted a little, rained a little and everyone is staying in. So I decided to catch up a little.
The stomach flu hit our house. First, Honey and then he shared it. Those things he can keep to himself. But we made it thru and I lost 6 pounds. We have been trying to lose weight but not like that. Of course half of it will come back when I start eating if I'm not careful. It was a tough way to lose it.
And so I can get back to knitting. And planning...
The local chapter of the American Heart Assn is working with the Hershey Co to make CPR kits for babies born with congenital heart defects who are patients at PS Hershey. They asked if we would be interested in knitting 80 baby hats - in one month. Little did they know! So we approached the Friday Nite Knit & Chat folks. Wow! they are the awesomest & amazing group ever. We started Dec 28 and yesterday (Jan 15th) we had 78 back. By Friday nite we will exceed the 80! The extras will go to babies born during February. It does a heart good to know that there are folks who will put someone else's needs above theirs. A hat will go into each kit. Watch the Patriot-News and the Sentinel, folks. You are famous! and you deserve it. We used Sirdar Snuggly DK in color 242 Flamenco. It's a great yarn and easy care for parents who are having a tough go of it.
On a another ramble, we've made some changes to the current class schedule. Stop in and get a revision or check on-line in a day or two. We add/delete all the time based on demand.
