Normally I enjoy making scarves and cowls but save the excitement for lace shawls, cable knits or large fair isle projects.
However, the other day a new yarn from Mountain Colors arrived. It's named Twizzle and it's so soft and silky. I had to check the label because I expected to find mor silk in it than advertised. And of course I pondered just what I wanted to make using just one hank. Just one hank, you ask? Yep, it has 250 yards per hank! That's a lot of yarn.
So I looked and thought and looked some more. I looked through books, magazines and leaflet patterns. Couldn't find just the right one, ya know? So I logged into Ravelry.com (actually I don't think I ever log out, lol!) After some studying I found http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/garland-cowl and it was just right like goldilocks would say.
I cast on during Knit & Chat last night. Am really enjoying the pattern and yarn combo. So I took a pic this morning.
Think I will do this again in a solid. I think the pattern will show better. Of course blocking will open it up some. These are some of the other colorways we have in stock.
Yummy huh? Don't wait -it's going fast
