In a muddle

Sometimes when I get on overload I can't sort out exactly what I want to do.  Sometimes it's because I've seen too many magazines with oh so tempting projects; sometimes, it's because my customers have shown me their accomplishments and I want to do each and every one of them.
This week was one of those weeks.  First the new Knitter's arrived; then the new Noro Premiere Issue mag arrived; then Knitscene Accessories; and then Interweave Crochet... Get the picture?  I was so torn by all the choices.  Couldn't make up my mind.

Of course, I have 2 projects in my carry bag and numerous socks already started.  But who wants to finish something when we have the chance to drool over and begin something NEW??? I mean, I tell ya.  What a choice?

So I dithered and dithered.  Finally Thursday nite I finished my Adamus shawl.  Now I have an excuse to start another one, right?  As if I need one. Ayone who knows me knows I don't have a lot of self-control when it comes to knitting or chocolate!  Then new colorways of Berroco Sox arrived.  I didn't want to do something sensible like make socks.  So I began a search of shawls to use this yarn.  Not sure if I would like it, I began Summer Flies.  Pic to follow.

But in the back of my mind (such a dangerous place) I remembered a customer/friend at Lacy Ladies who was doing an Easy Peasy Shawl and using up some remainders of sock yarn.  I also remember thinking I could do several of these at the time.

So Friday nite when I got home, I dutifully knit on the sweater in my bag for over an hour.  Okay punishment done (I really do like the sweater and the yarn but in my current state...) so now I could contemplate something else.  It's fast approaching 11PM and I have to work tomorrow, so maybe I should go to bed.   Naw!!! that would make way too much sense.  I got on ravelry.com and found the easy peasy shawl pattern.

And I began.  I cast on and began several times til I found the one I liked best.  I had some remains from socks/shawls/headbands and started.  Ran out of the first one and grabbed a Claudia Handpaint in Jungle, then changed to some leftover B sharp B natural from Altobish (used for Spring Thaw shawl).  Now I'm ready to graduate to the remains of Dye...My Pretties! Rose that I used for Color Affection shawl.  Oh, and did I mention that it's now after 1:30 AM and if I don't go to bed soon, I may not go at all!

I am now home from work on Saturday and have all evening.  Where shall I go tonite?  That shawl is calling again.  Why?  It isn't difficult but it is enjoyable.  And maybe that's the clue....

So Happy Knitting or Crocheting and have a great weekend.

Thanks for being patient last weekend while we went to Dayton Oh for our grandson's High School graduation.  We had a great time.  Here we are - all of us.
