It's been awhile and I feel it. Wow the month of August has kept us moving! The family from east Texas arrived at 12 Midnight on Aug 2nd and were here for the annual Father-Son Golf week. Then the family from San Antonio arrived on Sunday. Lots of grown-up grans around. It was hectic and wonderful.
All too soon it was time for them to depart. However things didn't stay quiet and calm. the 1 yr old gran made her presence known on a couple of occasions when we babysat or pinch hit due to emergent medical issues. All is well.
And Honey did not have a blood clot this time!!!!
Then we heard that the doctors decided to induce our granddaughter-in-law before her due date of Aug 21st. They began Tuesday eve, the 13th. And it went on ...and on... and on... Finally, Izabella made her appearance around noon on Thursday August 15th, weighing in at 7lb 2.5 oz and 19". She is beautiful. Momma is good and Dad (gran Kyle) is walking on air! Can't wait to go visit!
As happens at this time of year we also have lots of new stock arriving. That is distracting and was a good thing this past week. One of the new yarns is Road to China Light from The Fibre Co. It is so luscious. I want to fill the bathtub and just lay in it for a week! Blend is Alpaca, Cashmere, Camel and Silk. Yum!
Another new one is Kauni. It is listed and a sport weight. It feels more like a heavy fingering to me. the colors are beautiful and sometimes outrageously interesting. Kauni is sold by weight which makes it a little different.
We've also gotten in new colors of Pediboo Sock and new to us Pediboo Worsted. Check them out. Soft and drapey.
Many new yarns are arriving daily and patterns to go with it. Stop in and check them out.
Oh, and put up with all the grandchildren and Great-Grandchild pictures floating around!
