Black Friday events

We were talking about Thanksgiving approaching and the weatherman forecasting snow flurries possible this weekend and someone mentioned the folks who are struggling to make ends meet.

So after some brainstorming we came up with a way to help. So here goes. It all depends on you. Your generosity will help re-stock the shelves at the Central Pa Food Bank and in turn will help lots of people. So let's really all chip in. And I know my customers are the most generous in the area.

On Black Friday we will open at 8 AM (with lots of coffee available for the help) and stay open til 8PM. Bring 2 #10 cans ( a regular 14oz avg) of veggies, fruits, etc or 1 box of dry goods (eg: mac 'n cheese or hamburger helper or cereal) and get - ta-da, drum roll, wild hand clapping - 20% off all regular priced merchandise. This food drive will go on thru Saturday til 4PM.

So come in and take advantage and feel like you've helped someone else. Just remember while out doing your own Turkey day shopping to throw a couple of extra cans, etc into your basket and be prepared.

If you are an early bird shopper, you can now stop in at The Colonial Yarn Shop when you are finished at the box stores; help a neighbor and pick up some projects to get thru the weekend and get an early start on those Holiday gifts while you rest your weary feet.
