Voting help needed for charity

Just received an email notice (and checked it out) asking for all of us to go to powerabrightfuture.com and vote for an afterschool program called KnitLit so they might have a chance to win a grant.

Here's the deal - this is an afterschool program in an impoverished area of NY where the kids in a middle school learn to knit. Then they knit blankets for charity and read and discuss books together. They are in danger on having the program cut due to funding issues. They have been nominated for a "Power A Bright Future" award from Clorox. They have to earn it. So here we go, knitters and crocheters. This only takes a few seconds each day. Let's show them the power of the needle and hook.

KnitLit is also on Facebook and you can read all about them there. You can read about them on the Power site too.

So three cheers to teachers and kids and let's get out the vote - every day and bring home a winner for a deserving group.
