Lazy, hazy days of summer are fast approaching. School is out for the summer and everyone is more laid back and relaxed. Sometimes I start to think I should make an effort to clean and sort so I'm ready for the fall season and more knitting projects. Notice the 'sometimes'? Yeah, the the mood passes and I start a new project....And then, I find the urge to finish a few. It makes me feel good to finish the project and possibly wear it (if it's for me).
So in my cleaning and sorting frenzy I found an almost complete cotton sweater for a 1 year old. Worth finishing but obviously not for the original recipient! Can't even remember who it was. So I finished it and now I wait for someone to have a boy. Of course, all the babies being born in our family circle are girls - who knew? It will be used no doubt. So for now, it's tucked away in a drawer wrapped in acid-free paper.
Finished a couple of socks that were victim to second-sock syndrome. These were started on DPNs so I finished them that way. Thankfully, I wrapped the other sock around the ball so I could remember how it was made.
Then it was time to start another new project. I was feeling so good about myself because I had cleaned up several old projects. So for now, we'll forget about the others and treat myself to a new project.
How many UFO's do you have hidden away?
Oh, and I started a new lace shawl too. Why not, life's too short not to enjoy the feel of beautiful yarns flowing thru my fingers. Enjoy the sun; have fun and .... knit!
