Time...where did it go

Several years ago when I started this blog, I scratched by head for a title.  Was never satisfied but stuck with the choice I made.  As time went on, I realized that it was appropriate.  It doesn't seem like 8 years since I bought the shop - and also have been retired from my career which is on it's way to being 9 years!

However, today is the 1st Birthday of our sweet Sadie!  And it makes me wonder - Where did the time go?

It sure has been a fast year.  One year ago, we were holding her for the first time.  Now we can barely hold her because she wants to move, move, move!

It's amazing to watch all the things an infant has to "learn" in a year.  I know there are more learning moments to come - lots of them.  Each and every one is interesting.  No two babies are alike and it also makes us walk down memory lane to each of our other 7 grans.  All different, each lovable in their own ways!

 

But today belongs to Sadie.  She has been such a joy.  She has brought such comfort to both of us, but to her Pappy especially.  As Honey learns to cope with his anxiety attacks, he can always count on a few minutes with Sadie to totally distract and calm him down.  He loves to take her for walks, read to her, play peek-a-boo with his hats.  Oh he always has an extra hat for her.  She likes to teeth on them!

So as we venture forth tomorrow to celebrate these wonderful life events, I want to thank everyone for the patience and understanding.  I normally don't close on a Saturday but this one is jammed packed with love and fun and I wouldn't miss a moment of it.

Saturday, June 15 we will be closed to celebrate two events:  The baby shower for our 1st Great-grandchild due in August and Sadie's 1st Birthday!
