Fall is here!

While driving to church this morning - and knitting a sock- I noticed how some of the leaves are starting to change color.  The normal reaction would be something like... I should reorganize those yarns on the back wall and put those colors side-by-side.  But this morning I decided to let my brain rest and just enjoy the beauty.  It was cool, the sun was shining and it was so pretty.  A late night babysitting our new granddaughter helped the relaxation.  We love babysitting but our age is showing a bit.  Do admit it I was tired.

I also had the second cataract surgery this week.  It's so simple now but I don't snap back so quickly as I used to.  I do see so much better already.  Colors are more vibrant, even muted ones.  I tend to like brighter jewel toned colors and taupes and browns don't do much for me - at least they didn't.  Now that I can see better I actually like some of them.  Notice the colors I used for TGV

It's quite easy and uses one skein of sock yarn like Noro's Taiyo Sock or Knit One Crochet Too's Ty-Dy Socks Skinny Stripe.  Or Frolicking Feet, Tapping Tootsees or Fancy Feet from Done Roving.  Haven't seen them yet?  Hurry on in.  Haven't had a chance to work with one yet but I'm deciding this week.

Right now I'm working on the Clementine Hoodie for you-know-who.  Here's the link and I think Sadie will look good in red too.  http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/clementine-hoodieI'm using Berroco's Vintage.  The yarn is soft and machine-wash in cool water which will be good for a 4 month old!

I'm thankful for such a beautiful morning.  It helped me relax and restore for the week ahead.  More yarn arriving!  Am excited.  Hope you are too!
