Old-fashoined slippers and kids

Second Kid's class this morning.  They wanted to do something different than a scarf.  So I had pulled out the tried-and-true basic slipper pattern for the 100th time.

It's refreshing and amazing to watch the kids be so excited by a self striping yarn and their accomplisments.  So we began last week.  Wasn't sure what would return but I was pleasantly surprised. It helps that Grandma knits so she could help with the ooops during the week.

Jordan was almost ready to finish the toe.  Just a couple of rows to go.  Christian and Sara were working very hard to get there.  Cassie was closing in on finishing the toe.  We needed to add a few rows for her foot length.

Next thing I knew- Jordan was slipping stitches off to close the toe and sew the slipper up.  Then it was Cassie's turn.  Wow!  these kids are really excited!  Christian and Sara are catching up too!

So here's some proof:

Jordan's first

Now Cassie's:

Soon we'll have Christian's and Sara's slippers.  Budding knitters all.  Thanks kids.  I had a wonderful time.
