I wrote to the designer of the Bermuda Scarf in Ravelry to let her know we had chosen her design to knit. Her name is Ilga Leja and she is so gracious. She instantly responded and offered to provide the "gold medal". She will provide a pattern and yarn to the winner who will be chosen randomly. Ilga resides in Nova Scotia so we are now "international".
She also has joined the group and thread for the KAL. Here's your chance to chit-chat and let her see your creativity in action.
Join us won't you. Don't live in our area. Use a time/date stamp on a digital camera and submit your pictures to The Colonial Yarn Shop group at Ravelry.com or on our FB page. We'd love to have you. The more the merrier. And if you are in the mood, cheer on your favorite sport, team or country. They would love that too. We currently have almot 30 participating. Can we make 40 before the 27th?
One of the nice things to come out of this is we get to appreciate creativity around the world and that makes us neighbors. It is a small world after all.
Can't wait to start. Am really getting excited to see how all the colors will play out and watch the waves takes shape.
And if you don't understand the w&t or have never done them, stop in. Marcia, Rae Ann or I will be ready to help you accomplish them. Lots of folks tend to 'over-think' them. It really is quite easy to do. So come on in and pick your yarn so you are ready for July 27th.
