She's here!

This morning about 2:15 AM Honey & I departed for the hospital to await the birht of our granddaughter to my son, Jeff and his lovely wife Christine, our wonderful daughter-in-law.  Jeff called about 1:15 and said "We think he water broke and we're going to the hospital".  I chuckled and said to let us know if they admitted her.  This being grand #8 in the grand scheme of things, we have learned a couple of things or two.

So when the second call came, we sprang into action and arrived about 2:45.  We got to see them both and things were progressing.  Of course her Mom & Dad arrived and we had to share time as well as let the two of them bond togethr thru this experience. As things go, it ebbed and flowed.

Finally, at 1:39 PM, Sadie Therese, weighing 6 lb 10.8 oz and 19" long arrived.

Mom, Dad and baby are al doing well.  And we are so proud of all of them.

And then the grans got to hold her for the first time.  Couldn't hold back the tears, honestly!

Then Daddy got to start being wound tightly around his little girl's finger, lol!

We are all in love with this little bundle of joy.  I'm sure you will all get sick of it shortly.  But you'll love the fashions knit or crocheted for our newest addition.

Now it's time for a nap!
