In my quest for peace and harmony this season, is my second sock syndrome really that or am I thinking about Christmas stocking? When I decided to rip the first sock because it no longer fits me well. Why you ask? Ah, the joys of aging! I'll leave it at that.
So I nipped the toe (because it was knit cuff-down) and started to rewind; got disgusted and grabbed a pair of needles and cast on using http://knitty.com/ISSUEspring06/FEATmagiccaston.html and began to increase for the toe.
Got out my handy-dandy sock template from the queen, Wendy Johnson. Here's the link: http://media.wendyknits.net/media/Sock-Templates.pdf. Or you can go to her blog, http://wendyknits.net/finished-work-free-patterns-tips/sub-page/. She has several free sock patterns and different heels. I know the sock template one is one that fits me well.
So I was off and running - not really- maybe in my mind. Actually I was relaxed and knitting, enjoying time with hubby as we watched Madam Secretary. Keeps the needles flying. By the end of the evening I had gotten to the gusset.
Put it away even tho I was tempted to keep going. Gotta get some rest so I can work.
So Monday evening after knitting on must projects, I picked up the sock again. What is this compulsion? Haven't knit a sock in over a year. Was too hard on the hands last year. Got thru the heel and now it's cuff time. Hopefully, I'll find a good movie and I can finish the cuff.
Will I then have second sock syndrome again for the same sock? tune in.....
