Of course, lots of new yarns have arrived and more are coming - every week it seems.
We now carry Titus from baa ram ewe. It's a merino/alpaca blend in fingering weight
and Unisono solids are here.
And our exclusive project bags from local artisans. We had quite a few more at Knitters' Day Out on Sept 6 and 7th.
and now some additional ones too. We will have some with unusual themes shortly.
and then we added some with handles and eyelets for threading the yarn through too!
Knitters' Day Out was a great success. We decided to showcase the shawls made from our Lacy Ladies group KAL. If you remember we used the shawl http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/dinner-in-the-eiffel-tower-shawl for the KAL. Here's a snapshot of the booth and shawls.
Thanks to all the ladies who let me show their shawls. They earned lots of well deserved comments. Enthusiasm was evident this year and lots of ohhs and ahhhs over the shawls, mitts, cardis, etc that folks were wearing and bags that they carried! Love to see our knitted and crocheted work actually being worn or used.
And of course lots of personal things happening too. A couple of loyal knit&chatters have recently become grandmothers for the 1st or multiple times. We will meet our 1st great-granddaughter for the first time in about a week. YEA!!!!
And grand Sadie has found her feet - she's at a dead run most of the time. So Memere is getting some exercise whether she wants to or not! Grandkids are great!
Of course today is a day we all wish had never happened. give your loved ones an extra hug, do some good for someone who doesn't expect it, remember and be kind to one another.
Til next time, keep knitting and crocheting!
