Going green is the topic of the day everywhere. So I was looking around to see what I could knit with that would continue the theme. My eyes rested on Cestari Cotton/wool blend in a DK weight.
This would work for that cardi pattern I've been lusting after!
So I gave in and put something else aside for now. I chose the color, made a swatch and began to knit. Cestari is a farm in Virginia. They raise their own sheep - dye their own yarns and spin their own yarns. When they make a cotton/wool blend the cotton is USA grown. Truly grown and made in the USA. And it's a great value too!
The yarn is great to knit with - soft and earthy. Occasionally you will find a bit of bark in the yarn. It is easily removed. Lots of lanolin left in the worsted weight wool. My hands were so soft after knitting with it.
But back to the project at hand. Back is almost done and I can't wait to have it finished. Here's a sneak peek
