Is it Fall yet?

I know the calendar says it's still summer and all that but the kiddies are back in school, fall sports and band are in full stride, and the temperatures are supposed to fall to more fall-like weather. So is it Fall yet? The smell of leaves, Mums blooming with brilliant colors, a fire burning to keep the chill away - either in the back yard or a fireplace, all bring back memories of fun times and families. Thoughts start to wander to colder days approaching and, just like the squirrels, we need to gather projects to keep us entertained through the fall and winter. Who needs a hat? or mittens? Felted clogs to keep the toes warm?

Why not show your colors if you are into sports or band competitions? Apples and pumpkins, oh my. Makes me think of pretty reds, pinks, greens and oranges in all shades. Yes, I'm a bit nostaglic today for the approach of Fall.

Or maybe it's because we got some presents today!

New shades of Lopi which is a super yarn to use for the Felted Clogs class arrived.

And then we found Main Street in the bottom of the carton. It's a Wool/Acrylic blend from Reynolds that stripes and tweeds at the same time. Great colors and even a blue and white mix that should make local Penn State fans happy. I can see scarves, hats and mittens or a blanket for those windy, cold State College games that are bound to happen in Happy Valley near the end of the season. Local high school fans can find some colors that will salute their teams as well.
Our new hours have begun! We are open Mondays -Thursdays 10-5; Fridays 10-8 and Saturdays 10-4. Stop in and join the fun!
