Oh what a week....

At the beginning of the week, I was hoping to get back in gear after ten days off. It's a good thing I had ten days off. The shop was busy. New yarns were arriving. Class schedule is being settled. And then....Honey had pain in his leg for a week and decided to finally call the doctor. Of course, the appointment was at 9AM, which meant I had to make plans for the shop quickly. After a checkup and doppler sonar ultrasound, they determined that he had a blood clot in his Femoral artery in his right thigh. AND THEN the doctor told ME that I had to give him a shot in his belly. For those who know me, you know my biggest fear medically is .... NEEEDLESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!! So Honey learned to do it himself. I know if I absolutely had to I could especially to someone else but...

So we are at home and he has his leg elevated, heating pad on, pills, and me waiting on him to keep him comfortable. Several friends have suggested that this would be a good time for Honey to learn to knit. He isn't willing yet. But if he wants that remote back, we may have to bargain. Since I have to stay close, I decided to start a new knitting project. More details later.

Then Saturday morning, I found a car in the parking lot, motor running and door slightly open. Upon a closer look, I saw a knee sticking out. I looked a little closer and saw a late twenties - 30ish male slumped over and unconcious behind the wheel. I am currently reading Death by Cashmere (a knitting murder mystery) and though "Oh, no!" I am not a book. Called 911 and they responded. After several attempts, they got him awake and unfortunately, he was drunk and had passed out. Fortunately for him and us, he had the sense to pull into the lot and pass out so he didn't harm himself or others. He did apologize to me which I appreciated. I also told him that I have a son and I hope that others would do the same for him if it was needed AND I hoped that he would get the help he needed. But I can tell you, my heart was in my throat and I feared he was dead. So I'm laying off the knitting mysteries (after I find out who done it!) for awhile. Altho, on second thought I can think of several friends/customers that would make a very good detective group. Hmmmm.....

Tuesday begins our Wrap Me Up Class. This should be an interesting project especially, when we look at all the color arrangements. Since we all have unique color schemes that we like, wear etc. color groupings become intriguing. Haven't signed up yet? Come in Tuesday.

Wednesday is Fermatta Crochet scarf class. This is a design by Alice of Altobish Yarns. Janice K will be teaching. Want to sign up?

Thursday is Lacy Ladies from 6-8. Join us!
