It's that time of year when we have so many demands on our time.... proms, graduations, end of school, sports, picnics, swimming....And so we try to fit it all in. Sometimes, we are successful and sometimes we aren't.
Last week our youngest grandson graduated from kindergarten. Honey got to go but I couldn't. This coming week our 18 yr old granddaughter graduates from High School. I will be there. And thanks to a couple of friends (teachers too), the shop will remain open but with shorter hours. For this week only.
June 1-3 hours 10-4
June 4 hours 10-6
June 5 hours 10-4
And then we will return to regular hours the following week. I really appreciate all the offers of help and cooperation. So it's off to Texas for a few days!
Rest assured that the first item(s) I pack will be my knitting. Am still trying to find out if I can carry it on the plane. Have gotten some conflicting information so I will go with some yarn and needles and a self-addressed envelope with postage affixed just in case. We'll all be better off if they let me take my knitting. Don't mind admitting after all these years of flying that I am still a nervous flyer. Have flown more miles than I care to count but some things never change.
I do, however, have enough projects lined up to stay for months instead of days. Why do we think that we can knit faster when on vacation? And we'll get all these things done while we are gone? So I'll take the current project and probably some sock yarn because that's easy to do when in company and lots of talking. Of course, since most of the folks are not like-minded, they don't understand that I can pay attention - and even join in- without dropping a stitch. But that's a topic for another day.
Enjoy! the day, the weekend, every day. And make time for a few stitches every day.
