vacation? ....not

Many of you have asked if I've been on vacation. I haven't. Actually, we installed a new computer in the shop and are investigating the 'wonderful' world of Windows 7. Now, before all of you computer types get on my case - I do not profess to be computer oriented in the least, so go easy. Well, the job that was supposed to take 1 hour ended up taking 4 with some little tweaks to fix the next morning. Three days later, all was working as well as before, except for the learning curve. So I'm on that journey. And when I can't take it anymore, I knit. On benefit, the screen is so big, I don't need new glasses now.

We are moving through several classes right now. The Sienna Cardi is coming along well in Louisa Harding's Kashmir Aran. The Mitered Capelet has been quite interesting as the students make decisions about color! I'm using Cascade's new Lana Bambu for my February Lady and it is an amazing yarn. Really like the feel and the stitch work. Can't wait to get into the lace part.

Just started a sock in Cascade's Fixation and am really liking it. Nice and stretchy cotton with elastic. Watch for the Valentine sock!

Limbo Mexico and Limbo Color are in and the new colors are awesome.

Since we missed the annual Knitters' New Years Eve this year (due to family commitments - can't resist the 5 yr old grandson), we will be hosting a longer Knit & Chat on Friday Jan 22. We'll be here from 6 -10 PM. Bring a chair and join the fun! There'll be snacks and great company. Share a project and meet some old or new friends. So if you're tired of winter or just need a break, stop in. We'd love to see all of you.
