What do these two things have in common? One nourishes the body and one the soul, mind or whatever one wants to name IT. This past weekend, having caught the cold making its rounds, I was not in the mood to knit - horrors! Honey, my better half, knew I was really sick. Pretty much anything else is a reason to knit - except the miserable cold. So he fed me chicken soup and all the other cold foods to make me feel better. By Sunday eve, I was able to sit up and knit and then tear out everything I had jsut knit for 2 hours!
I know most people around these parts are not thrilled with snow but I wish it would get cold enough to kill the germs. I'm sick of them - - - literally.
By Monday I was feeling better and Honey decided I had graduated back to real food. So we went to the market so he could try a new recipe. For those of you who don't know, letting me into the kitchen is like starting a war. I don't like to cook; I'm not good at it and I grew up with a really good cook who never, ever followed a recipe. Honey, on the other hand had found a hobby that we both enjoy. And last nite, he did a spectacular herb-encrusted baked Salmon with roasted brussel sprouts! We're now fighting over the leftovers. And I get to clean up the kitchen. Fair trade? Oh yeah.
So now, I'll move on to the other"food". Should I use Alpaca, Wool or Llama? Oh, there's Yak! and cashmere. Too many choices. It's like being at the candy counter in a really beautiful hand made candy store. Chocolate anyone?
