Ah! Spring is ... on the way

Yes, it's still February and windy and cold but it's not as cold as it was. Still, it's bone chillin' with the wind. As I sit here today looking out the window at the beautiful sunshine, my mind is slowly starting to think Ah Spring! Yes, we're always in a hurry for what we don't have and right now, that's warmer weather. No coats, hats, mittens, leg warmers etc for awhile.

So I started to turn my mind to those warmer weather knitting items. I've started a capelet for spring/summer with Claudia's Handpaint Linen. It's beautiful and supple. Can't wait to wash it and see the bloom.

We also have a Promotion going on until March 12th. As some of you alredy know, Altobish Yarns is the creation of Alice, who teaches here and is now a hand-dyer. She has started with Trill which a gorgeous sock yarn in 80% superwash wool and 20% nylon. This yarn can be used for lightweight shawls and lots of other things. Alice is experimenting with color combinations and shades of semi-solids. So to the promotion, buy one skein of Trill between now and March 12th and you get a chance to enter the drawing to win a free skein of yarn custom-dyed in your favorite colors. You will work directly with Alice to create this special colorway. So rush right in, before it's gone. The colors shown are Munsters, Catwalk and Superstition.
